Gen Re currently offers an excellent opportunity forActuary (d/m/f) to work in the Actuarial based in our Germany office. This is a hybrid role.
Your Role
- Play a crucial role in supporting our life/health reporting by closely collaborating with finance teams on core applications in compliance with various accounting regulations (Solvency II, IFRS17, US GAAP / LDTI).
- Leverage your expertise to update and enhance actuarial and financial systems, deliver solid reporting solutions, and actively participate in the development of actuarial modeling solutions.
- Work hand-in-hand with actuarial teams to define requirements, contribute to the success of project teams, and support the ongoing maintenance of adequate production solutions.
- Increase actuarial efficiency by improving and optimizing actuarial processes, systems, skills and procedures.
- Proactively support and meet needs of our international teams by fostering and assisting actuarial functions and operations.
Your Profile
- Bring your degree, preferably in mathematics or computer science, and your initial experience in actuarial or finance applications in life and health insurance or reinsurance into a dynamic, emerging team.
- Use your skills as a qualified actuary or your efforts to obtain an actuarial qualification to master complex challenges.
- Apply your good knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting such as Solvency II, IFRS 17 or US GAAP / LDTI to make a positive impact on our reporting processes.
- Demonstrate your strong analytical and coding skills (Python or R) and your readiness to work independently. Your knowledge of analytical and reporting tools (Power BI) or actuarial and financial software (SAS) can be fully deployed here.
- Leverage your proficiency in both spoken and written German and English to effectively work in an international context.
