Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland GmbH (SPE) is part of the SONY Group and is also one of the most important companies in the entertainment industry in Germany. SPE's film & series production companies include Columbia Pictures, Screen Gems, TriStar Pictures, 3000 Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation, Stage 6 Films, AFFIRM Films, Sony Pictures International Productions, Sony Pictures Classics and Crunchyroll. Our TV Distribution division is active worldwide in TV licensing and specialises in the distribution of films and series for digital purchase and rental.
For our Munich location we are looking for a full-time team member in the Research GSA department beginning September/October 2024. This will be as part of a temporary parental leave replacement for at least 12 months.
- Planning & conducting market research studies on film, TV and media behaviour for new releases and catalogue titles
- Using market research tools in the evaluation of third-party and primary research data to support our marketing and sales activities
- Analysing of consumer trends in terms of sales data, TV usage, pay TV and streamers
- Illuminating and presenting current industry trends to support business development & our strategic sales direction
- Strengthening internal business relationships and those with external industry partners, service providers and customers
- Working closely with the internal sales teams and the EMEA market research team
- Successfully completed social science or business administration degree with proven proficiency in empirical studies
- Initial professional experience in a similar function within the research and media environment
- Experience in the preparation of market research data and professional presentations
- Strong organisational skills, a high affinity for numbers and an authoritative way of working
- High media affinity and knowledge of films/series and the German-speaking media & TV market
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point as well as extensive experience in statistical analysis
