Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial bookings, month-end closing tasks, reconciliations, fixed asset management and compliance with financial guidelines and internal controls. The successful candidate should have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and a working knowledge of general accounting principles.

The Accountant will also assist with budgeting and forecasting preparation, standardize budget and forecast templates, and conduct research and analysis as required by the Accounting Manager.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Perform financial transactions in our Navision system.
• Coordinate and manage intercompany AR and AP reconciliation.
• Manage cash and petty cash transactions.
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory data in ERP.
• Conduct research and analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and Sox internal control requirements.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Utilize computer applications for accounting information compilation and analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced).
• Full cycle accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of financial strategies.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of German HGB is desirable.
• Exposure to international financial accounting and multi-currency reporting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Navision or Business Central ERP systems is preferred.
• Previous experience with software conversions.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Goal-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to tabulate statistical data and compile necessary reports.
• Able to work with all departments professionally.
