Your Role:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher within the Research Unit Oncology, you will join a team of highly motivated scientists dedicated to discovering the cancer drugs of tomorrow. You will be responsible from identifying and investigating novel and innovative therapeutic concepts in the field of the DNA Damage Response (DDR). With experience in oncology research and capability to apply state-of-the-art technologies to identify, characterize and validate novel therapeutic targets in vitro, you will be directly involved in drug discovery projects and characterize drug candidates in DDR. You will interact closely with the R&D scientists and work in cross-functional drug discovery teams as well as external collaborators.
Who you are:
- PhD in molecular or cellular biology, pharmacology or other related biological sciences with a strong publication track record
- Two years minimum postdoctoral research experience, strong background in DDR biology and cancer
- Hands-on experience in CRISPR/Cas9-based systems, ideally CRISPR-based screening approaches
- Hands-on experience in establishing and maintenance of cultured cells (transfection, transduction), cell-based assays and basic molecular and cell biology techniques
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
