What you will do
We are an interdisciplinary team, helping governments and public administrations to solve some of their biggest challenges in IT and data. You can expect to work on practice-oriented projects for our clients, address often publicly debated policy issues, and add value to society at large. Your responsibilities will be:
- Contributing to and managing individual tasks in (sub-)national and international IT research and consulting projects for the digital transformation of governments and public administrations
- Designing and developing interactive and scalable web applications and services in the context of Open Data, data spaces and decentralized data management
- Supporting the conception and implementation of functional architectures and/or software architectures
- Contributing and/or creating scientific studies and publications
- Introducing ideas for the technical roadmap and further developments
What you bring to the table
Essential Requirements:
- Degree (Master’s or Diploma) in computer science, mathematics, physics, business informatics, administrative informatics, or a related area
- Experiences in the development of web applications and web services in Java
- Ability to communicate and translate technical topics to various audiences, particularly to (internal) developer colleagues, clients, and other non-technical audiences
- Good knowledge of software architecture design methods
- Good analytical and conceptual thinking paired with a structured way of getting things done
- Very good knowledge of German and English
Knowledge in some of the following areas is advantageous, but not mandatory:
- Linked Data and the Semantic Web
- Cloud and container technologies (e.g., Docker, OpenShift)
- Cryptography
- Graph databases and graph query languages (e.g., Neo4J)
- Application of build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle)
- Experience with the specifications of the International Data Spaces and/or Gaia-X
