As a Material Scientist - Chemistry (m/f/d) you will be working in a multi-disciplinary project team within our material elastomer R&D Team. You will be the key subject matter expert leading developments, compound designs, injection molding processes for polymer and elastomer materials.

As a Material Scientist - Chemistry (m/f/d) you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing for product development and support with emphasis on scientific understanding of structure-property relationships, failure analysis, design of manufacturing processes and reliability analysis

• Leading and conducting research projects that improve the understanding of property – field performance relations

• Defining property requirements for new compound developments

• Collaborating with engineering and product development

• Leading and conducting laboratory examinations for failure analysis, quality control and process optimization

• Working independently and in team, delivering project presentations, and able travel to vendors and universities

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have successfully completed your Master studies or PhD in organic chemistry or materials sciences with polymer or elastomer

• Have proven experience in polymer or elastomer

• Have an good understanding of polymer science, manufacturing processes, analytical characterizations and measurement techniques.

• Have good knowledge n compound design and polymer selection of typical polymers used in oil& gas, automotive, aerospace, marine or similar industries

• Have a good understanding of required analytical methods

• Have orientated problem solving skills and be action-oriented, ethical in value, and have a deep customer focus

• Have good written and verbal skills in English and in German
