Assistant Brand Manager Johnnie Walker

About the role
Diageo brand teams are the custodians of our brands and ensure their future growth and success. As a member of this team you will be the guardian of the brands within this category and work to shape their future.
You will drive, shape and project manage Johnnie Walker’s brand plans based on consumer, customer and shopper insights, building brand equity and helping to drive:
- Recruitment – both from a customer and consumer perspective.
- Scale – in all commercial elements of the brands, building strong relationships with the commercial teams on the ground to deliver above and beyond the annual operating plan.
- Fame – making Johnnie Walker the most talked about whisky. You will collaborate with the Global Brand Teams, multiple (digital) agencies, cross-functional teams and partners to deliver on our salience and brand meaning objectives.
- Omni channel thinking – the ability to see, find and trigger associated memories at different touch points in the consumer journey, building through the line campaigns that ultimately result in success at the point of purchase.
Top Accountabilities
- Shape the brand to thrive in a digital environment, co-develop our digital strategy & social media plans.
- Translate the gifting strategy into thoughtfully implemented brand plans & digital activations that consistently beat the competition and help us gain share.
- Lead cross-agency teams and foster new partnerships in developing the brand’s communication approach and execution in an omni-channel environment.
- Be the first point of contact for our team in the Nordics. Understand and respond to the drivers of our brand performance in market, to deliver the annual operating plan.
- Managing Johnnie Walker’s budget, incl. raising POs, overseeing budget phasing and keeping track of the overall budget planning throughout the fiscal year.
About you
- 3+ years of relevant marketing experience
- German language is desirable
- Demonstrated brilliant execution across various pillars of brand building, experience in social & digital marketing and e-commerce is a plus.
- Existing capability to build meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect
- Successful management of key partners, resulting in positive outcomes
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment
- Deep personal accountability for performance
- Strong commercial and numerical skills with attention to detail
