LCV EUCOM Germany: Technical Inspector LeadPosition Overview:
The Technical Inspector Lead is responsible for the efficient management of all personnel and resources to accomplish all mission requirements pertaining to the Bradley Fighting Vehicles in direct support to the M2 Maintenance Mission. The TI Lead is also responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, effective implementation of the quality control program, and mission compliance with all contract requirements. Maintains close coordination with the Government to ensure responsive support. Maintains awareness of all operations, projected workload, inspection results, training, Government requests, guidance, and all issues relative to safety, environmental, and personnel.
The TI Lead directly reports to the Project Maintenance Manager and has the approval authority to accomplish all mission requirements as specified in all applicable regulations and contractual requirements. This authority includes but is not limited to performance of all functions required by the contract and related regulatory requirements: i.e., approves timecards, administers discipline in accordance with company policy and “stop work authority” if a safety or potential safety situation occurs.
Directly leads the Mechanics who are responsible for preventative maintenance and fault repair M2/M3 Bradey Fighting Vehicles, to include, complex, interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems, equipment, and their components while in operation or in a standby condition using specially designed testing methods and test equipment such as computerized test sets, precision gauges, electronic sensors, injector test stands, engine scopes, etc., to assure that tolerance and safety factors have been met.
Advises mechanics of proper operation and maintenance of equipment, trains new Technical Inspectors, and further develops their skills. Monitors operation and production at job site and ensures that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed.

Organizes and coordinates the activities involved to maintain and repair Bradley Fighting Vehicles, mechanical equipment, including trucks, automobiles, diesel engines, etc. Ensures that equipment is maintained according to requirements. Utilizes Computerized Equipment Management System to monitor and control equipment maintenance. Advises employees of proper operation and maintenance of equipment, trains new mechanics, and further develops skills of current workers. Monitors equipment operation at job site and ensures that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed. Trains mechanics and equipment operators in preventive maintenance procedures. Orders and maintains an adequate inventory of parts and supplies to ensure timely maintenance. Promotes safety, QIP awareness, and teamwork. Requires specialized training in diesel mechanics and equipment repair or equivalent experience, thorough knowledge of field services equipment operation and maintenance, and a minimum of 5 years experience in field maintenance.
Job Summary
The Technical Inspector Track performs technical inspections and verifies the work performed on tactical M2/M3 track vehicles, material handling equipment and power generation equipment and their sub-systems IAW appropriate procedures and publications. Repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and cooling system systems components, on vehicles, equipment and their subsystems as assigned IAW appropriate procedures and publications.
