Company Description
The group „Apoptosis Regulation and Targeted Therapy" (PD Dr. Frank Essmann), at the Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (RBCT) announces an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated young scientist (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team as a PhD student. The project investigates the resistance mechanisms to targeted therapy in non-small cell lung cancer, a critical area of cancer research.
Our group is an integral part of the Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases, a cutting-edge institution strategically located adjacent to the Robert Bosch Hospital and the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology in Stuttgart, Germany. Situated on the Bosch Health Campus, the these Institutes together with the Robert Bosch Hospital form a nexus of international research and clinical expertise. Our collaborative environment is enhanced by our affiliation with the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) Stuttgart/Tübingen and the National Centre for Tumor Diseases (NCT). At the Bosch Health Campus, teams of global researchers and clinicians employ advanced technologies to translate molecular discoveries into tangible clinical treatments.
The Bosch Health Campus fosters a vibrant, team-oriented international atmosphere. Research groups here delve into a variety of compelling topics including the (epigenetic) regulation of transcription, immunology/inflammation, targeted therapy, and cell death regulation. This PhD project, offering independent funding, will be co-supervised by PD Dr. Frank Essmann of the RBCT and Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Kopp from the Department of Thoracic Oncology at the Robert Bosch Hospital.
