In this dual role, you will be developing, implementing, and managing the account strategy for local / strategic account(s) focused on service & digital sales, share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you will be coordinating the sales activities and managing resolution of key-account customer problems.

Your responsibilities

• Service Sales: (50%)
• Acting as a key account manager for service sales of ABB’s top clients with the biggest installed basis of ABB instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, and level sensors, actuators & positioners)
• Being responsible for fulfilling a dedicated “Service Sales” budget (orders received & gross margin)
• Providing a holistic analysis of the installed base and identifying service potentials together with the sales and service organization
• Visiting top-accounts to conduct ABB’s life cycle assessments of the installed base, preparing complex service offers (service agreements incl. spares & consumables, replacements, maintenance, technical support and repairs, installation and commissioning, upgrades & retrofits, engineering and consulting, training) and providing recommendations/consulting in line with ABB’s service offering
• Developing the “go-to-market strategy” in terms of service sales for the front-end-sales organization
• Digital Sales: (50%)
• Acting as a local point of contact, while providing technical support and guidance to the sales team on digital sales offer preparation
• Being responsible for fulfilling a dedicated “Digital Sales” budget (orders received & gross margin)
• Managing to build a strong and sufficient digital sales pipeline
• Building up business relations with partners for ABB’s Spirit IT / Flow-x /eXLerate solutions and visiting key accounts to provide on-hands consulting about ABB’s Instrumentation Digital Offering

Your background

• Successfully completed studies in engineering, business administration or equivalent
• Several years of experience in Service Sales and/or Digital Sales and/or automation industry (including instrumentation)
• Expertise in current industry trends, market dynamics, competitors and regulatory requirements
• Entrepreneurial thinking and pursuit of innovative approaches
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
• High level of analytical skills and creativity
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Willingness to travel 25%-35% nationwide
