Your responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented a Manager Hydrogen - Business Development with a strong commercial background in hydrogen to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the hydrogen sector, focusing on our markets in Germany, UK, Nordics and Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Scout for new hydrogen electrolyser projects & co-development opportunities across DE, NL, UK and Nordics regions
- Establish close cooperation to Market analysis, CCGR and perform desk research analysis to identify new leads
- Validate and prioritize of potential leads and handover concrete opportunities to Business development teams
- Provide structuring support to the business cases based on green power supply, transport, storage, regulations and potential downstream customer for Unipers H2 Business Development teams
- Represent the company as a subject matter expert in hydrogen, participating in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events
- Stay abreast of market trends, and regulatory developments in the hydrogen sector, and share insights with internal teams
- Support the definition and implementation of the Hydrogen Asset Target Operation Model (TOM) to operationalise Uniper’s front to end H2 business in alignment with CCO Power & Gas, COO and CFO functions
- Active contribution to the implementation of the Uniper hydrogen strategy in order to help shaping the climate-friendly future of the company
Your profile
- Passion for the Energy Transition as well as energy, flexibility, and self-starter mentality
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the energy industry
- Demonstrable relevant professional experience in the development and management of complex, interdisciplinary, large-scale asset projects in the energy industry or comparable (functional) management responsibility
- Track-record in closing asset project related transactions, including contract structuring. Negotiating and seeking relevant corporate approvals
- Technical or commercial expertise in an adjacent subject area, e.g. gas supply, methanol, gas infrastructure, power sourcing, plant construction, major asset investment projects, etc.
- Analytic person who understands economic behaviour, energy policy and market regulation
- Entrepreneurial way of thinking as well as working with a high level of quality awareness, even under high pressure
- Excellent interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
- Personality: high level of integrity; open to new ideas; keeping calm in all situations; always solution-oriented; always a team player
- Fluent in German and English language, Dutrch or Swedish is an advantage
