Become one of our 34 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.

Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meetups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.

Your role as a Trainee – Finance Business Support

Your role is to contribute to our goal of delivering high-quality finance services and support while continuously improving Vattenfall's finance landscape through harmonisation, automation, and digitalisation. Our team in Finance Business Support believes that growing together is a key ingredient for achieving this goal.

During your traineeship, you will work on international projects or assignments and build up your network within Vattenfall's Finance organisation. Currently, we are working on several major developments, including the implementation of a new central ERP system, which is a Vattenfall-wide multi-year project. Additionally, we are in the process of re-tendering for a new Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, as our contract with our current partner, who supports us from Poland and India, is ending. It is our responsibility to enhance and develop Vattenfall's Purchase-2-Pay process. We are establishing an Innovation community to foster innovation in our finance services and expand our family of Finance robots.

During your trainee year, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in these developments and enhance your Finance expertise. You will be greeted by a motivated and engaged team of international finance professionals who will support your development and knowledge growth during your traineeship.

After completing the traineeship, we will work together to find a challenging position in one of our teams that will help you kickstart your career in finance.

About Finance Business Support

Finance Business Support is Vattenfall's Finance shared service centre and centre of expertise consisting of the following departments:

• Accounting Record-to-Report being the accounting expert for IFRS and the local GAAPs, manages the closings, the external audit and provides financial statements.
• Controlling improves business decisions and performance by providing fact-based timely insights and is both supporting and challenging our staff functions.
• Financial Systems provides efficient and compliant tools & systems to support our finance processes and to make ERP data available for decision making.
• Subledger handles large parts of the Purchase-to-Pay and the Order-to-Cash process within Vattenfall and is ensuring that all incoming and outgoing invoices are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Treasury Services manages the banking landscape and payment processes.
• Finance Projects and Processes drives and manages major projects within Finance.
