About the Role:We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer (f/m/d) to support Fabrics pursuit to increase organizational scalability of commercial operation through improved access to data for effective decision making. In this role, you will create and organize dashboards, data visualizations, and reports based on analytic requirements/business questions to deliver insights and ensure that the data business consumers need is available, accurate, and easily accessible.
This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Bavaria, Germany, hybrid or fully remote work allowed from your home office in most locations within Germany, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business to understand analytics requirements as well as develop and deliver analytics solutions to create dashboards, data visualizations, and reports per requirements and best practices
- Provide input to data engineers to ensure Divisional business intelligence tools have appropriate data flows including representation of data transformations
- Develop and apply a deep understanding of data in the business or function, as well as available certified, Enterprise data sources
- Support Core Tech end users with ad-hoc reporting development in alignment with business intelligence tools & development best practices
- Communicate data requirements to enable business intelligence and reporting solution development, to solution architects, data architects, data engineers, analytics platform administrators and other application architects to inform data design, data pipelines, and integrations
- Understand and apply information security, data policies, and established data definitions/metrics in creating BI products. Ensure work is aligned with governance rules and adheres to change management practices
- Conduct unit testing of business intelligence products created; collaborate with IT QA/Testing team for validation of BI products as needed
- Partner with business stakeholders in defining metrics and key data sources. Provide direct support to the consumers of business intelligence products for usage; does not include backend data engineering or infrastructure (e.g. system down)
- Manage reports and dashboards throughout their lifecycle, including monitoring their usage and aging
- Create simple statistical models or customize prebuilt analytics models as part of business intelligence solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working on strategic projects focused on business intelligence, data warehousing, and/or data management
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as an analyst focused in one or more of the following functional areas: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Sustainability
- Experience working in a formal change management environment and maintaining reports and dashboards throughout their lifecycle
- Evidence of robust practices for data & analytics documentation disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to visualize the big picture and to set a course for and deliver realization with good project management practices
- Ability to facilitate discussions and influence alignment for global approach to data and analytics across many different stakeholder groups resulting in measurable, business value outcomes
- Ability to acquire new skills quickly and quickly thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, PL/SQL, COGNOS
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, terminology and architecture
