Human Rights Integration Manager (d/f/m)

As part of our ambition, we want to raise the level towards human rights, integrating the most renowned principles from our supply chain to the design and use of our products in order to mitigate our identified salient issues and become a reference on the defence and space industry.
This role will be hosted at the Airbus Defence and Space Sustainability team and will be responsible for integrating the human rights principles and concepts in our business and help us to better understand implications, possible opportunities and threats.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
In this position you will support the Head of Sustainability and the team lead on Human Rights within the Sustainability team specifically in the definition and management of dedicated projects aiming at supporting the sustainability evolution of the Division in connection with stakeholder, partnerships and societal expectations.
You will be the focal point for main internal and external stakeholders with the objective of fostering collaboration, jointly further advancing on our sustainability ambition.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Develop and manage an approach to implementing the human rights policy and directive throughout the Division, supporting guidance, methods on the implementation, capacity building and advising functions on means of compliance (all in close cooperation with Airbus Group central function (GS).
Develop and manage internal engagement to support culture /behaviors attuned to human rights.
Within this role, the job-holder will be required to:
Support the Divisional Human Rights Officer in progressing the human rights roadmap and ambition.
Coordinate the integration of human rights due diligence into the defence sales process
Work closely with relevant functions /expert teams to support integration of requirements, taking into account any specificities and being sensitive to business impacts.
Provide substantive input to internal /external presentations and reports. Ensure networks are informed of and engaged in relevant activities including forthcoming legislation, trends etc.
Supporting and keeping track of salient issues / R&Os, action and mitigation plans and their implementation and reporting of progress.
Track and support own operations, supply chain and export/ sales in the implementation of their DD frameworks.
Support business functions and affiliates on implementing responses and remediation of human rights impacts.
Report progress of integration to the human rights multi-functional teams, and provide input to the public sustainability reports.
Support achievement of the human rights roadmap milestones, targets and KPIs in our division.
This role will involve travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly
Desired skills and qualifications
You are educated to a Master degree level in General Business Administration, Economics, Aerospace Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
You have proven knowledge and experience working in the field
