Your responsibilities
- Manage Uniper’s hydrogen activities as a technical expert in the development phase of green and blue hydrogen projects in Europe with a focus on Uniper’s core countries (i.e. Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, UK)
- Lead conceptual design & feasibility studies as well as technology selection for green and blue hydrogen projects.
- Participate and contribute to safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL analysis and LOPA.
- Overall support for projects in feasibility, pre-FEED or FEED stage with focus on process of electrolyzer packages.
- Review process engineering documents and steer contractors for process engineering matters.
- Support tender processes and engineering contractor selection.
- Ensure an adequate cross project exchange and lessons learnt for process engineering matters
- Support the development of external, technical partnerships of high strategic relevance, e.g. with electrolysis suppliers and licensors.
- Be an internal / external contact for green and blue hydrogen technology
- Advise and support other Uniper units with regard to hydrogen process technology
- Conduct process simulations to enable more efficient project development and planning and to validate engineering services from contractors
- Support the development of H2 technical capabilities within Uniper as expert in hydrogen process technology
Your profile
- A person with significant professional experience (5-7 years) in the hydrogen, energy, chemical or plant engineering industry (e.g. project manager, technical lead)
- University degree in a relevant technical field process engineering
- Several years of in-depth expertise in actively developing new business areas and executing projects, preferably in industrial gases business
- A person with a health, safety, process safety and environment mindset, taking care that the highest HSSE standard is applied in Uniper’s projects
- Experience in being a lead engineer on large scale / multidisciplinary projects
- Strong technical competence in process technology and hydrogen production
- Professional command of English (knowledge of German / Swedish / Dutch is beneficial)
- Entrepreneurship, strong customer orientation
- Conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to prioritize from a holistic view
- Ability to work independently and under high pressure
- Personal credibility and ability to build working relationships across the Uniper Group
- Creative and open-minded individual with fresh mindset and good communication skills
