Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team and are currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) - Germany in one of our German office locations: Munich, Berlin, Mainz, Freiburg, Frankfurt or Leipzig.

What You Will Do
- Executing and/or supervising all the activities and tests related to commissioning of the power plant (e.g. MV switching activities, especially the commissioning of inverters and transformer stations, etc.)
- Analyzing test results and provide recommendations
- Responsibility for compliance with existing standards, regulations, norms and defining BayWa standards
- Troubleshoot the systems during the commissioning phase to bring the plant successfully into operation phase
- Reviewing test and commissioning protocols/procedures developed by BayWa r.e. and also submitted by manufacturers, product suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensuring all commissioning related tests, reports and checklists are performed in accordance with the commissioning plan
- Act as the interface between the EPC team, construction team, grid team, O&M team and engineering team
- Working in close contact with the R&D and engineering team to optimize future system designs
What You Bring
- Qualification as an engineer or technician, ideally in the field of electrical engineering or mechatronics, or you have a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant practical experience and comprehensive knowledge in the field of commissioning power plants
- Experienced in medium and high voltage systems
- Fluency in business English and German
- Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites all over Europe (e.g. Spain, Italy, UK, France, Greece, etc.)
Specifically you have experience...
- ...in reading and interpreting complex electrical diagrams and schematics
- ...in PV testing and commissioning standards
- ...with insulation resistance tests in regard to the necessary instrumentation and procedures
- ...with earth testing, step and touch potential tests and continuity tests
- ...with MV cable withstand testing (VLF test)
- ...with MV/HV energization procedure
- ...with MV switchgear maneuvering
- ...with configuring protection relays
