What you will do

As a member of the LX Marketing Service Team in St.Leon-Rot (Germany), you will be working as a project manager for Marketing translation projects with a special focus on Integrated Demand Programs. In this role, you will make all delivery-relevant project decisions in close alignment with your customers and your service owner. You will be responsible for quality, costs and timely delivery of the projects assigned to you. Your main tasks will be:

• Plan translation projects (schedule, define scope, forecast volumes and costs)
• Develop and maintain project pipeline
• Execute translation projects with Smartling as translation editor and Sol as project management tool
• Provide on-time support
• Deliver complete project in time
• Evaluate project (analyze information and provide effective solutions to problems, provide feedback and lessons learned to involved parties)
• Share project learning with team
• Actively participate in process and tool improvement activities
• Support strategic initiatives like introduction of Machine Translation for sap.com

What you bring

• University degree in translation or applied linguistics
• Excellent knowledge of translation-related standard market technologies
• Very thorough understanding of localization and translation processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in an international team and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and to take over responsibility
• Ability to efficiently master complex processes and to cope with challenging requirements
• Very structured working mode with high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks
• Fluency in English (and ideally in German)
• Additional languages are a plus

Work Experience

• Previous translation project management experience
• Previous experience with Smartling and Sol is a plus

Name any language matter – we will find the right people for it. We that is the Marketing translation service team which is part of the SAP unit Language Experience. You will be joining a team of project managers who take the needs of their customers very seriously and work closely with external translation suppliers to fulfill the customer requirements. Our customers are our colleagues in the SAP Marketing units all over the world. You will be dealing with a wide variety of assets (videos, Marketing brochures, all kinds of interactive formats….) in various content management and translation tools.
