I am working with a long time client of Barrington James, a global Pharmaceutical company committed to bringing life changing medicines to those in need. After a very successful start to the year and upcoming product launches they are looking for a new Health Outcomes Manager to join the team and work on the continued development of the portfolio.
This opportunity is perfect for somebody who has a developed understanding of the HEOR and Market Access landscape at a country level and wants to leverage their experience by working across multiple disease areas. You would work alongside a proven industry leader in the field of AMNOG and Market Access as well as other HEOR, Market Access managers and team leaders in Medical affairs.
Job content/requirements
Within this rile you will work across the company portfolio within the German healthcare system alongside a talented team focussed on access and reimbursement. You will be the sole point of contact and support for all products in epidemiology and the costs associated with them to ensure the best possible access for new products. Taking into consideration the AMNOG process and pricing negotiation for the dossier. After successful product launch you will work as part of a cross functional team, with key account managers, to support the products going to and in market aiming to lower the hurdles and potential issues when launched.
You will monitor the healthcare market addressing early deductions of targeted actions and proactive development to improve competitive situation.
Main Tasks:
- Best possible support of the products: Preparation of relevant chapters of AMNOG/HTA dossier parts on epidemiology and therapy costs and subsequent price negotiation. After launch with ad-hoc analyses for the costumer facing teams. Early evidence research prior to planned product launches or line extensions for each product. Understand and interpret medical/epidemiological/health economic data. o Identify data gaps and develop, defend, and execute recommendation/action for optimal market access with respect to health economic issues Build up and deepen customer understanding incl. the legal framework (SGB V/guidelines) and the understanding of individual targets of the individual target groups for our products/indications Literature research according to IQWiG methodology for AMNOG/HTA dossiers Evaluation of different data sources regarding health economic aspects of our products to support the AMNOG process (dossier and price negotiation) and along the life cycle of the products.
Establish a health economic metrics system to respond to ad hoc inquiries. Develop health economic USPs for products Create, supervise, improve, implement, and execute projects/measures/materials on health economics aspects derived from the product strategy Optimize products over the life cycle from the Health Economics side in a cross-functional team and thus reduce hurdles in the market (via field sales, key account management, medical liaisons) Observe the health policy market environment addressing opportunities for targeted action and proactive development of materials amongst the changing health policy landscape and its framework conditions. (Schütze letter, newsletters of various players in GW, G-BA resolutions) Key Requirements and Experience:
- University degree in Epidemiology, Health economics, Natural sciences, or other comparable areas. Proven experience of more than 2-3 years in HEOR, Mmarket access/PRA/AMNOG, especially with an understanding of epidemiology and a combined business understanding. Extensive knowledge of the German healthcare system in areas such as structures, service provision, health economics, health care policy and legal basics. Utilize analytical skills in all day-to-day activities and work strategically and conceptually. Used to working within a cross functional team environment Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure Can develop a proven network in the industry at all levels Personality: communicative, assertive, team- and solution-oriented Excellent MS Office skills capable of working with numbers and data Fluent in German and English
