Summary
At the Aalen site we are looking for an "Embedded Software Developer (f/m/d)" for the "Data Analysis and Fusion" department as soon as possible.
The department develops algorithms for image processing and evaluation, data fusion and artificial intelligence as well as embedded platforms and embedded systems. Both the embedded hardware and the associated embedded software are defined and developed. Real-time video behavior is required for most modules. PC-based systems with software are also created. At system level, distributed architectures are designed, implemented and integrated to meet the functional requirements and performance data of complex optronic sensor systems.
Your Tasks

Analysis, specification, design, implementation and verification of hardware-related software components for image processing platforms as well as for visual and infrared camera systems

Concept, development and support of a software used in an embedded system
-
Test, integration and verification of the software in the overall system (including at the customer site)

Support of the production department in case of serial start and system integration
-
Preparation of automatic software tests (unit tests, module tests, continuous integration process) as well as implementation of test concepts by using e.g. static code analysis tools
-
Technical responsibility for the developed software in projects with interdisciplinary project teams

Agile planning and development using SCRUM and Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence and Bamboo)

Software development (object oriented as well as functional) by using C/C++ in Linux environment

Usage of common software development tools (e.g. QtCreator, Git, CMake, …)
Your Profile
-
Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable
-
Experience in using micro controller and embedded systems, ideally with SoCs
-
Very good knowledge in programming (at least C++11)
-
Ease of handling, as well as basic understanding of, Linux
-
First experience in using common build and Linux tools advantageous (Make, CMake, Shell-Scripting)
-
Experience in hardware control via various interfaces such as CAN, CANopen, RS232, I²C, Ethernet, USB advantageous

Knowledge of modelling software architectures (e.g. UML)

Analytical and cross-functional thinking as well as acting under own responsibility

Team player with strong social skills and enthusiasm

Innovative spirit and creativity

Very good German and English skills
