Position Overview

Details of the role and how it fits into the team

We are searching for a German qualified lawyer or a lawyer from other countries with an excellent command of legal German to support and strengthen the QA/NDA Team located in Berlin (OSA-Neubau Campus).

The legal department of Deutsche Bank AG is an independent infrastructure function, and the QA/NDA Team advises the business divisions of the bank on legal contractual issues and manages legal risks, as well as provides internal legal contract data validation for the Global Head of Legal and manages legal’s negotiable templates.

Your key responsibilities

Negotiations:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, release letters, and reliance letters for various business divisions, and identifying and managing risks and issues within such agreements

• Advising on legal contractual issues

• Interacting with colleagues, national and international stakeholders, as well as external persons.

Data Validation:

• Managing large amounts of contract data, and focusing on mid-complexity processes requiring enhanced or extensive knowledge by way of clause interpretation of master agreements and security documents

• Collecting, analysing and validating the data in an existing DB system in accordance with guidelines

Template Management:

• Managing Legal’s Negotiable Templates & Transactional Documentation Matrices and ensuring the maintenance and governance over certain template and matrices in accordance with the guidelines

Your skills and experiences

• German-qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in or Wirtschaftsjurist/in degree); or an equivalent qualification from other countries; full qualification would be an advantage; Law degree (L.L.B or additional L.L.M would be an advantage)

• Contract negotiation experience a plus and strong attention to details

• Fluent in German (especially in legal German) and English (reading, writing and oral)

• Experience with managing and working towards tight deadlines

• Ability to work independently and within a team, to interact with, collaborate, and communicate with relevant stakeholders in business divisions / infrastructure functions
