Product Industrialization Engineer (Mechanical Parts) (m/w/d)
Job Description
In this position you will have the opportunity to
be directly responsible for the introduction of new parts into production and thus have a direct influence on the quality of Philips products and the efficiency of processes.
Your role
- Responsible for the industrialization and implementation of specifications and changes to manufactured parts or services at the supplier's site.
- Responsible for the production processes in sheet metal processing from CNC and progressive manufacturing as well as machining production such as CNC complete machining for turned and milled parts.
- Change management of externally manufactured parts during their life cycle in the complex supply chain (tier 1, tier 2, tier n).
- Qualification and release of components.
- Coordination of specifications with the development department regarding design and layout.
- Coordination with suppliers regarding manufacturability and production equipment (design for manufacturing).
- Analysis of quality problems in the production process.
You are part of
of the Product Industrialization Team, which consists of 17 engineers who work very closely with neighboring departments such as Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Procurement Engineering, Operational Purchasing and R&D. Here you can work internationally in a cross-functional project environment and to demonstrate your ability and willingness to familiarize yourself independently with new topics and activities.
You are the right fit if:
- Sound knowledge of production processes and procedures in the field of:
- Sheet metal processing CNC processing (punching, laser cutting, bending), progressive dies
- Technical or natural science studies
- Follow-up processes of sheet metal processing such as pressing in inserts, nuts, rivets and clinching
- Machining production (turning, milling and grinding)
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Beneficial:
- Parts qualification and release
- Experience in working with external suppliers
- Working in a controlled environment (medical, automotive, aviation)
- Experience in plastics processing (injection molding)
- Cross-team and international cooperation, project management
