The opportunity:
The Examination Office is a key part of the Student Services Center. The EO is responsible for organizing and scheduling examinations. The EO is responsible for the administration of examination results and the preparation of examination certificates. The Service Center and Examination Office are points of contact for all organizational issues and procedural questions related to exams, as well as the issuance of certificates and attestations. The EO assists students with the Issuance of matriculation and exmatriculation certificates; Issuance of degree audits; Questions on courses of study; Applications for a semester on leave; Submission of documents crediting internships and for semesters abroad in cooperation with the International Office; Bachelor’s: applications and admissions; and submission of Bachelor and Master theses.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and follow up examination phases
- Administer examination results using the IT-supported application program
- Create & issue certificates, certificates of achievement, objections and de-registration notices
- Check and process applications
- Advise, support, and assist students and lecturers in all areas of the examination system and process with support issues & questions
- Recognition of achievements for lateral entrants
- Administer Bachelor and Master processes (registration, submission of topics, submission of theses and project monitoring) as well as admission examinations
- Other related duties
- Excellent organizational skills

- Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English

- Excellent knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- A high degree of initiative, organizational skills, teamwork, reliability, commitment, loyalty, and flexibility
- Completed vocational training or university degree or relevant practical experience in customer-oriented administration in higher education
- Experience with university management systems such as CampusNet desirable
- Knowledge of higher education law, e.g. in examination law as well as in the preparation of appeal and de-registration notices and study contracts, and experience in higher education administration
