A rare opportunity to combine your commercial and technical ambitions and strengths to help RWE facilitate the energy transition and to reach its ‘2040 net zero CO2’ goal: Identifying, developing and realising value-adding new, flexible and firm H2 ready power generation capacities.

The Commercial Asset Management (“CAM”) function in RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) commercially manages the Asset Fleet of RWE Power AG and RWE Generation SE, and develops opportunities by connecting Generation, Trading and Grid Business combined with Market and Regulatory expertise.

At the moment, we’re looking for a highly motivated new team member, who combines commercial drive with strong interest and ideally first experience in project management:

• Working at the interface of commercial markets and cutting-edge technology, helping to realise innovative projects that bridge market developments with technological advancements, driving growth and transformation
• Assist in the identification and development of value-adding new power generation capacities that align with RWE's '2040 net zero CO2' strategy and taking over first responsibilities
• Supporting the whole process from Idea Generation (‘Scouting’) up to Final Investment Decision (‘FID’), including all disciplines like Commercial, Conceptual Design, Contractual, Legal and Permitting
• Contribute in the creation of technical and commercial concepts that forward the energy transition, collaborating with internal and external experts
• Negotiate with external entities and internal stakeholders to establish contractual foundations for new assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in various project stages, from idea generation to project development and implementation and contribute to project management tasks, helping to move projects forward and ensuring milestones are met

Your powerful skills

• University degree, ideally in a ‘MINT’ subject, preferably combined with a commercial / economical education or background and technology interest
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in a team environment and strive for transparency and collaboration with integrity, openness, willingness for change and trust
• First project management skills with a proven track record of taking ownership of projects and “making things work”
• Interest in identifying opportunities, analysing requirements and developing commercial and technical solutions
• Familiarity in energy markets across Europe, preferably power markets
• Eagerness to develop yourself over several years into managing complex projects, high degree of self-motivation and willingness to “get your hands dirty”
• Fluent in English and German, a further European language is of advantage
