Energy Management is responsible for energy management of all our own and 3rd party assets and consumers in Europe, delivering production planning and access to physical energy markets. We also deliver weather, hydrology, climate and market analysis across Statkraft. Digitalisation Energy Management (MED) unit creates significant value for Statkraft and its customers by delivering next generation digital solutions in Energy Management in close collaboration with IT and business. The team drives the digitalization roadmap aligned with business strategy, in partnership with IT and business teams, responsible of design and quality of hydro optimization systems and models, intermittent production forecasting, creating, managing and operating automated flex asset optimisation and trading services including smart charging and demand side flexibility, short-term trading algorithms and their underlying commercial models. The unit’s responsibility requires an in-depth understanding of the business processes and system landscape in ME and power markets.

As a trainee, you will:

• Work in the interface with IT and business as Product Owner or Business Analyst
• Work as a analyst in forecasting, algorithmic training or optimizing batteries and smart charging stations

• University degree in Business, Natural Sciences or Engineering
• Interest and curiosity in the future development of the renewables energy industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Some knowledge of scripting e.g. Python
• Self-driven and structured, with the ability to see both the full picture and details
• Strive to drive lean process design and improvements
• Fluency in English is required
