YOUR TEAM

As AR HUD SW Architect at CARIAD, you'll develop the system and software architecture for augmented reality head-up displays within the Volkswagen Group. Your focus will be on architecting the software that powers the immersive visualizations in our HUDs. Your role requires close collaboration with various teams within CARIAD and the brands to define functionality, refine interfaces. This involves integrating map data and sensor inputs to create a seamless AR experience for drivers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze customer requirements and create comprehensive software specifications
• Define and align software interfaces between the AR HUD and dependencies like ADAS and navigation
• Facilitate a modular architecture, which supports multiple car platforms
• Establish and monitor non-functional requirements (NFRs) like performance and resource usage
• Ensure adherence to software quality standards and best practices
• Support field testing and defect analysis for continuous improvement

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in computer science, mechatronics, computer visualistics or a related field
• Knowledge in automotive communication protocols and distributed systems
• Experienced in software development for automotive systems
• Expertise in at least one of the following fields: ADAS, navigation, map data, sensor fusion, head-up displays
• High degree of autonomy and the ability to understand and explain complex topics
• Driving license and willingness to travel for field testing
• Proficiency in English and German language
