Objective:

We are looking for an experienced Security Architect with strong, comprehensive security knowledge to work closely with sales representatives on large accounts across Germany. The main mission of the Security Architect will be to support the sales and pre-sales organization in opening up various buying centers, gaining trust with senior and executive stakeholders and consult those not only on complex technical matters regarding enterprise architectures, but also on security strategy, concepts, processes and operational matters. You will work in an overlay team to support several sales/pre-sales teams and customers.

Responsibilities :

Regular conversations with customers’ stakeholders including C-Level, gaining their trust
Consult stakeholders on security strategy & concepts to help them improve their security posture
Position all of Fortinet’s portfolio on a strategic level
Initiate and influence project decisions
Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a conceptual and technical point of view
Demonstrate the Fortinet portfolio during pre-sales calls
Second level of pre-sales support assisting the Sales/Presales organization in Germany:

in responding to RFPs/RFIs: design, solution specification, product information
in supporting key projects to ensure Fortinet success
in leading technical discussions, articulating the technology and demonstrating differentiated value
in conducting compelling solution presentation, demonstrations and POCs
Being responsible to build technical material to support sales activities and design workshops
Effectively spread product/technology knowledge to the Sales/Presales Teams and Channel

On-site meetings with customers and partners within Germany
Online calls and meetings with customers and partners within Germany
Being able to self-start and understand the addressable market for all of Fortinet’s technologies

Required Skills:

8+ years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration.
8+ years experience with network security products.
5+ years Experience working as an IT security consultant or architect.
Strong background and proven record in one or more industry verticals
Excellent understanding of the security market and industry
Very good knowledge of the following technologies/designs/architectures
- L2-L4 networks (dynamic routing, switching, network architectures)
- Datacenter architectures (ACI, NSX-T, Leaf-Spine)
- Network Security (IPS, IPSEC/Encryption, ATP, Authentication, etc.)
- Security Architectures (ZTNA, SASE, etc.)
- Modern Software Architecture (Dev Ops, IaC, etc.) and Cloud Architecture incl. various hyperscalers

Soft Skills

Excellent presentation, communication and documentation skills.
Experience in public speaking
Experience in conversing with clients’ C-Level and executive staff
