The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent provides passport and citizenship services, include processing passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, Certificates of Loss of Nationality, and notarial services. Ensures the requisite applications are complete and that necessary supporting documents and evidence is submitted in strict accordance with the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM), the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Processes passport and citizenship applications to the point of final review by a consular officer. Handles accountable items, including passport books and issue foils, in accordance with accountability measures, to include performing quality assurance checks, printing and pasting issue foils, and creating limited validity passport books. Sends passport and CRBA applications back to the Department for filing. Corresponds with the public at the American Citizen Services window during public hours and responds to customer inquiries via phone, e-mail, or other methods.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two (2) years administrative experience in an office setting. Previous customer service experience involving communications with the public in person, over the phone, and electronically.
Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma is required.
