Scientist* Ex vivo T-cell engineering
Your main responsibilities are:
- Independent planning, design and execution of experiments aiming to develop genome engineering tools and procedures; development of novel assays and procedures for detailed characterization of engineered cells
- Working actively with research specialits in the lab, organizing and supervising research specialists experimental work and documentation, review of generated experimental results; making sure that all ascpects of the required experimnetal work are completed
- Analyzing, interpreting, preparing and documenting experimental results; presentation of results in a concise, understandable, and focused manner within a team of experts, associated subject matter experts or scientific conferences; support in writing of IP and regulatory documents as well as SOPs
- Regular reporting to associate director and higher management. Working closely with associate director to define priorites and timelines and ensure the execution of the set goals
- Participation in department and project team meetings and work effectively with other functions to ensure alignment cross-functionally; communication with internal and external collaborators and business partners
What you have to offer:
- Completed doctorate in the field of immunology, cancer immunology, biomedicine, or comparable qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in T-cell engineering for cancer immunotherapies or relevant biomedical research experience in engineered immune cell therapy
- Extensive experience in immune cell cultures, immunoassays for CAR/TCR T-cell product characterization (e.g., cytotoxicity assays, cytokine profiling, proliferation assays) and multicolor flow cytometry-based assays and analysis
- Experience with non-viral and viral genome engineering technologies, and delivery tools to modify primary immune cells. Experience with DNA transposons is an advantage.
- Experience with CliniMACS Prodigy or Lonza Cocoon systems is advantage
- Experience with in vivo characterization of CAR T cells in murine tumor models and having FELASA certificate is an advantage
- Previous experience with generating data packages for clinical translation is an advantage
- Scientifically self-motivated, goal-oriented and experienced in independently planning, conducting, and analyzing own research with minimal supervision.
- Experience in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in supervision of technical staff and/or students.
- Experience in Pharma/Biotech industry is an advantage.
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary cross- functional teams.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
