Role Overview:
To strengthen our Technical Service department, Huntsman Polyurethanes division is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager Automotive EAMEI (m/f/d) to be based in Deggendorf, Germany.
As a Technical Service Manager Automotive EAMEI, you will oversee a team of specialists tasked with delivering technical service to customers in the Automotive Market using Huntsman Polyurethanes technologies. You will develop the team's skills to align with the automotive business's technological and strategic needs, serving as the main point of contact within the technical team for the Global Automotive organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Sales Director and strategic marketing team to define the innovation and sales budget, while also managing CAPEX and resources to achieve business strategy targets.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Technical Service Manager Automotive EAMEI (m/f/d), you will be responsible for:
- Serving as the key contact for Product Stewardship within Automotive EAMEI.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security procedures, including audits.
- Managing resources, budget, and performance evaluation for the Technical Service team, as well as proposing further development and investment (CAPEX) opportunities within the Technical Service.
- Collaborating with various departments such as supply chain, marketing, and innovation to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identifying and allocating Technical Service resources for quality monitoring and raw material identification.
- Providing technical sign-off for raw materials used in Automotive solutions within the EAMEI region.
- Defining strategic targets within the cross-functional team and liaising with the Deggendorf site on Automotive activities regionally.
- Acting as the technical contact for German OEMs, promoting Huntsman Technical Solutions.
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
- Ability to self-manage and self-motivate to maintain effectiveness under pressure and to react fast and adequately in short timeframes.
- University degree in chemical/ materials engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the chemical and automotive industry, including broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Sound knowledge of the automotive industry and Polyurethanes technologies for the application portfolio within the industry.
- Experience in project management and team leadership in multicultural/ multilocation technical teams.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to set objectives and priorities for the team and monitor delivery against the set objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively across all levels.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the working time.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
