We are looking for a Backend Software Developer for the startup: Flybionic

Flybionic is a provider of innovative mobile communication solutions for beyond-line-of-sight drone applications. Our team of highly skilled experts develops and implements customized technologies that enable our customers to operate drones safely and efficiently in various scenarios.

What you will do

• Working on a green field project

• Designing and developing software for backend systems

• Development of interfaces between drones and flybionic communication system

• Developing Communication Protocols for drones

• Development of a database for the management of drone fleets

What you bring to the table

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science or a related field

• Relevant professional experience of several years

• Strong knowledge in software development, e.g. with Python, RUST, Git, MySQL

• Experience with multi-threading programming

• Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and Kubernetes (K8s) for streamlined application development and deployment

• Good knowledge of German and English

Your contract at the Fraunhofer HHI is limited to 2 years. A later extension at Flybionic is explicitly desired after a successful spin-off.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
