We are seeking an Associate Director, Global Oncology Training to be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the curriculum and assets to support Global market needs, especially in Lung and/or Breast Cancer. The incumbent will collaborate closely with counterparts across each Oncology Training and Development (OTD) function to ensure alignment of business operations within the global space of their respective therapeutic area.
Accountabilities:
As an Associate Director, you will work directly with internal global partners, including country-level training and marketing managers, global brand leads and US leads to understand current and future learning needs of the business. You will establish strong cross-functional relationships across the product, marketing, and existing internal training teams to develop a scalable global training program that meets launch and life cycle management goals of key global customers. You will own the identification, deployment, and promotion of the most effective and innovative practices across the department and globe; including launches.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
- Blend of pharmaceutical/biotech/oncology experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with/collaborating with medical learning & development and science liaison teams
- Ability to understand brand strategy and related strategic imperatives and develop learning that clearly conveys and pulls-through that strategy at the marketing company level
- Demonstrated ability to optimally and concisely communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of collaborators in the global commercial organization
- Ability to effectively lead in a cross-functional and virtual team environment, providing direction and mentorship to team members with multifaceted and complementary responsibilities.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree in medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences or a related field or equivalent
- Oncology experience, preferably in Lung and/or Breast Cancer
- Blend of pharmaceutical sales, sales management and/or training experience
- Knowledge of instructional systems design preferred
- Experience working with/in global (ex-US) markets
