In your capacity as Project Manager, you will report to the Vice President of Customer Experience. The Customer Experience business unit consists of Digital Travel Experience and Airport Experience. The teams develop and apply digital and self-service technologies, as well as improving the customer experience for airport services such as coordinated transfer processes and baggage handling, to offer customers efficient and seamless services in both normal operation and during flight disruptions.
Our Project Manager is a high-profile role for the successful candidate to ensure the delivery of projects for Star Alliance in conjunction with the responsible Product Managers.
Job Summary
- Lead and manage multi-cultural project teams to successfully achieve project goals
- Produce high quality project deliverables by applying the Star Alliance project management methodology throughout all project phases
- Collaborate closely with product owners in the development of project objectives, project plans and project deliverables
- Develop project plans including baselines for schedule and budget according to the scope and risk associated with the project
- Manage the project budget by approving expenditures, analysing variances, initiating corrective actions and managing change
- Clearly communicate project plans and status to all stakeholders
- Coordinate deliverables and schedules of Star Alliance member airlines and third-party vendors to achieve project goals
- Ensure project delivery by building consensus among globally diverse project teams
- Analyse project results and take corrective action to maintain schedule and cost baselines
Your Project Management Toolbox
- PMP certification
- Agile Project management
- Project planning and reporting, team management and mentorship, resourcing & build estimation support, budgeting, and risk mitigation
- Jira and confluence administration
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, handle shifting priorities and carry through on task completion
Your Profile
- A minimum of five years work experience in a project management role, preferably within the airline industry
- Experience of IT systems development, preferably airline systems development
- Proactive and self-motivated individual with facilitation and consensus building skills
- Demonstrated leadership with a proven record of achieving goals
- Cross cultural work experience, with exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills
- High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders
