General Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Broadcast Scheduler to join our team. As a Broadcast Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcasting schedules. Your responsibilities will include planning promotional elements, coordinating with program planning, and maintaining accurate broadcast records.
Please note that this is a part time position, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday afternoon
Key Responsibilities:
- Broadcast Scheduling: Create and manage broadcasting schedules, including promotional elements, advertisements, and channel IDs.
- Monthly Promotion Planning: Collaborate with program planning, on-air coordinators, and marketing teams to plan monthly campaigns, trailers, in-program promotions, and continuity.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the daily broadcast sequence runs seamlessly by coordinating with service providers and monitoring broadcast material availability.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate broadcast reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office and TV scheduling software (e.g., Content Explorer or Whats’On).
- Passion for Media: Knowledge of our portfolio and enthusiasm for the broadcasting industry.
- Reliability: Dependable and committed to maintaining accuracy.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Home Internet Access: Must have broadband internet at home.
Metrics:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to deliver schedules promptly.
- Process Adherence: Ensure compliance with presentation schedule creation and associated processes.
- Cross-Training: Develop proficiency in scheduling functions for other channels to provide coverage when needed.
