Scientific Communications Manager - Part-time 80% in Straße bei BI International GmbH
As Scientific Communications Manager you are responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving Medical Communication assets and capabilities. You will work closely with the Therapeutic Area (TA) teams, key cross-functional stakeholders, as well as (R)OPUs to lead strategic planning and timely development of scientific communications content for internal and external utilization, based on customer needs and aligned with overall business needs.
This position is only available on 0.8FTE and limited until May 2025.
- Your new role includes scientific publications and medical information responses as well as closely related digital assets (digital posters/letters, author/infographic videos, etc.).
- You develop the scientific communications strategy with the overall Asset strategy (e.g. Asset Evidence Plan, Integrated Brand Plan, etc.) to achieve an overarching, harmonized communication.
- To gain this task, you work closely together with GTM Medical Operation Services and external service partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality content which are agile and innovative to provide state of the art materials that are patient-centric and customer-centric.
- Furthermore, you liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to define a medical communication strategy and develop the communication mix for scientific journals or scientific congresses, including related digital assets, internal communication, medical information content, newsletters and/or publication alerts.
- Finally, you share valuable insights for the respective project/product, derived from publication and medical information activities globally.
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, M.S.) or several years of relevant job experience in similar role
- Proven experience in Medical Affairs/ Medical Information in the pharmaceutical industry or at a medical communication agency
- Several years of experience in Publication management (planning, editorial, publishing and writing)
- Strong project and process management skills combined with some experiences in leading project teams and developing plans, scope definition and presentation
- Deep knowledge about working together with external experts or authors combined with profound experiences in external vendor and budget management
- International experience in daily business and/or experience in working in cross-functional teams and multi country organization in a global team setup
- Fluency in oral and written English; further language skills would be an asset
