TRAINEE CORPORATE FUNCTIONS INTERNATIONAL IN CORPORATE PROCUREMENT - FUEL (M/F/X)

We are Global Business Services (GBS) – DHL Group’s service provider. We are looking for you to join us in the area of Corporate Procurement - sustainable and conventional Fuel. In Corporate Procurement we create business value through purposeful engagement with divisional/functional colleagues with a particular in our Fuel Category team we focus on supporting the realization of the the Group’s sustainability agenda in sourcing sustainable fuel for our aviation, road and marine forwarding business. Our Fuel Category strategy is fully aligned with DHL’s purpose, vision and values. We connect our business units with global and regional fuel suppliers and secure supply and innovation through tendering, supplier development activities, based on defined needs and criteria. We establish supplier relationships to create competitive advantage for the Group and introduce innovative and sustainable solutions especially with access to sustainable bio fuels. We ensure that our processes and contractual relationships are compliant with relevant regulations, laws and DHL Group policies (such as the Supplier Code of Conduct or the DHL Group Sustainability Fuel Policy) and standards to protect our company from risk in volatile markets. Due to the high importance of the realization of DHL Group sustainability strategy, our Fuel Category team works with DHL Stakeholders on Board levels of the Group and Business Units and collaborate globally across all countries to fully leverage our global reach and local presence. We maximize the value by applying latest procurement methodologies, such as game theory and cost engineering while keeping up to date with market developments.

Your tasks

• Support in supplier development activities with global, strategic suppliers like bp, Shell, Total Energies, Neste etc. to ensure the CO2 reduction target is achieved in aviation
• Supporting sourcing initiatives for sustainable fuels (air/road) in e.g. preparing a negotiation recommendation through data analytics
• Standardization of tender documents to mitigate risk exposure and drive efficiencies

Your profile

• Graduation (Bachelor/Master) before April 1st, 2024, in Logistics / SCM, Law, Engineering, Finance
• Initial work experience ideally but not necessary in sourcing and contract & risk management
• Having very good relationship/team management skills, analytical skills, communication skills, , ability to work under pressure
• Fluent/very good English and basic German
• Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel and project management skills, PowerBI an advantage
• Positive can do attitude, ethical, problem solver, goal and results oriented, right first time, team player, prioritiser, flexible, multi-tasking, open minded
