Position Overview
The Autodesk Construction Solutions group is seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong graphics skills in the web environment. You and your team will design, build, and run full stack web, mobile and cloud applications. As an experienced 2D and 3D graphics programmer, you will lead the design and implementation of features that integrate with our embedded web viewer. You will closely collaborate with other viewer experts inside and outside the team and contribute to the viewer platform.
You will be part of the BIM for Construction organization working on the Autodesk Construction Cloud, enabling our customers to work more efficiently and collaboratively. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of product features that integrate with our embedded web 2D and 3D viewer

Contribute to the development of our cross-platform graphics engine for 2D & 3D visualization and collaboration, as well as advanced image processing algorithms

Develop frontend components and tools to extend the experience around the graphics engine

Collaborate with software architects, product managers, designers and developers in co-located teams and across the globe
- Contribute to research of new technologies and methodologies
- Partner with product managers, software architects, UX, and other stakeholders as needed to iteratively turn high level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally and continually
Minimum Qualifications

BS in computer science, related technology field, or engineering

You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with 3D computer graphics programming

Hands-on experience in JavaScript

Previous experience with front-end development

Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members from around the globe
The Ideal Candidate

Has strong 3D computer graphics experience. As the main point of contact about the viewing and graphics engine, they will be expected to come up with innovative solutions to rendering, navigation, and geometry problems involving large building models

Has a strong desire and ability to deliver results. They are able to succeed and consistently reach the highest standards in a dynamic, agile environment with changing priorities. They are able to manage multiple tasks with direction or feedback from stakeholders and team members

Is a fast learner and keen to work with the latest tools and technologies. They are a perpetual learner and often find themselves ideating about new and improved ways of doing things and are confident to share their ideas with the rest of the engineering team
- Experience with performance-optimization, WebGL or WebGPU, React, and Typescript
