Our department »Data Communication and Computing« at Fraunhofer IPMS in Dresden deals with ASICs for novel computing and communication systems. The experts in the field of analog design deal, among other things, with control and digital-to-analog conversion for the use of quantum effects as well as driver electronics for optical wireless communication (Li-Fi). Now the team is urgently looking for a new team member!
What you will do
- Independently develop the design of analog circuits in cooperation with other experts in the team
- Performing concept evaluation and subsequent documentation
- Simulation of the component with subsequent DRC-LVS verification and floorplanning
- Conceptual design and set-up of a test bench for measurement and testing of the component properties
- Simulation with extraction of parasitic elements and validation in the laboratory
What you bring to the table
- Successfully completed bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar discipline
- First professional experience in the same or a similar position
- In-depth knowledge of the CMOS IC design process and good knowledge in the design of analog CMOS ICs
- A work ethic based on problem solving, reliability and team spirit
- Hands-on experience working with Cadence design environment as well as Spectre simulator
- Good communication skills in oral and written form in English and German

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis. The position is initially limited to 2 years. A long-term cooperation is intended.
