About the role

We are looking for curious and passionate individuals with a STEM major who have an interest in gaining experience as a Technical Writer alongside their studies. You will help us produce best-in-class documentation and tutorials to guide our users. In doing so, you will work closely with the Product and Design team to stay on top of the latest feature developments and with the Customer Success team to understand our users’ pain points and how we might better assist them. Please note that fluency in English is a requirement for this role.

We are currently looking for a time investment of about 8-16 hours / week.

• Maintain and grow our existing documentation

  • Keep our technical documentation up to date by updating copy and screenshots

  • Make improvements based on user feedback and maintain our integrated FAQs

  • Work with our product teams to create documentation for new features

• Help create new guides and tutorials

  • Work with our Customer Success team to create onboarding materials based on realistic use cases

  • Help explain technical concepts such as API integrations and data processing to a smart and motivated user base

• Improve the interplay between app and documentation

  • Become a user and champion of the Taktile platform and help our Product and Design teams better integrate documentation in the application

  • Support us in the development of interactive product tours and on-platform guides

• You are an excellent writer and communicator

• You have professional experience writing technical documentation

• You are familiar with python or a similar scripting or programming language

• You know basic computer science concepts such as REST APIs, JSON, and databases

• You have worked with a workflow tool such as Zapier or make.com, a GUI builder like retool or superblocks, and/or an analytics/BI tool such as Looker or Tableau
