We are expanding our Germany footprint and this is the opportunity to be employee #2 in Hamburg as we bring our global success model to Germany. This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company and contribute to building the brand! We are looking for an ambitious Key Account Manager who will be managing existing customers and hunting for new clients in one of our largest European markets.
IN A NUTSHELL, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
- Customers across both our branded and Private label business
- Developing existing customers in Germany, identifying and winning new business, channel or customer opportunities
- Independently manage the daily operational relationship with our German customers with the support of the Operations, Technical and Finance teams in the UK office.
- Effective evaluation of promotional performance and developing recommendations to maximise promotional mix ongoing for all branded customers.
- Design Bespoke Shopper Marketing programmes responsible for consumer penetration and conversion within branded customers.
In more detail, this means:
- Owning the P&L of each of your customers
- Utilising customer systems and market data to maximise our sales growth influencing promotions, distribution and availability
- Working with the Marketing team to bring Vita Coco alive in stores via POS and experiences
- Effective internal & external communication of performance, recommending specific actions where the business looks to push forward growth areas and rectify performance issues
- Keeping track of market performance and competitor activities across your channel
- Manage the process of winning new Vita Coco customers from 1st contact to final listings and contracts
- Manage new and existing cooperation projects with Private Label customers supported by the Private Label Product Management
The job description is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake other duties in line with their ability and the changing needs of the business.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Business Degree or commercial apprenticeship
- At least 3 years of experience with grocery customers branded and/or Private Label
- A self-starter, ambitious, hungry individual with a track record of step-changing accounts
- A passion for selling, and comfortable negotiating and influencing buyers
- Strong commercial and numerical acumen, as performance analysis will be a key part of the role
- Spoken and written fluency in German and English
- IT Literate – with advanced user ability in Office 365 Suite
- The passion to work in the food and drink industry and most importantly and last, but not least, a love of coconut water!
