Thermal Design Release Engineer (w/m/d)

Location: Ulm

Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

Develop thermal systems for battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty vehicles within the Vehicle Engineering group.
Take full responsibility for evaluation, documentation and release through all development phases until SOP.
Plan, organize and evaluate tests and simulations to optimize the design of components and systems for system performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure proper implementation.
Support testing and validation initiatives and lead troubleshooting efforts to validate and refine components.
Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to thermal system designs to enhance vehicle performance and meet project goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
Several years of experience in thermal system design or as design release engineer in the automotive industry.
Strong foundation in principles of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, etc.
Proficiency in CAD software and PLM systems; CATIA V5 and Teamcenter preferred.
Experience with thermal analysis and simulation tools (ex. ANSYS, Fluent) is a plus.
Fluent in English, additional languages – German and/or Italian is a plus.
