Part Time, 15 hours, term time, inclusive of inset time plus 2 weeks

Grade B, Pro-rata for 15 hours the starting salary is £8,131.74 to £8,730.66 pa

(£11.50-11.79 per hour)

Monday – Friday 3pm to 6pm.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a flexible and proactive cleaner who can work with minimal supervision to a high standard.

Working within a team of cleaners and site staff you will have responsibility of ensuring consistent standards of hygiene and cleanliness are achieved and maintained. You will need to ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times and report any safety or maintenance issues you may become aware of whilst working. You will be expected to work across any areas of the school as required and adapt cleaning rotas to accommodate events and activities on the school premises along with any changes to staffing levels.

Previous experience of working in a school in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential. You must have good manual dexterity and be able to undertake the physically demanding aspects of the role which could include the moving of chairs and tables for thorough cleaning or the operation of industrial cleaning equipment. A basic level of Maths and English is essential along with good communication skills. You will be working with minimal supervision for many of your tasks.

In addition to the 38 weeks’ pupils are in school you will work an additional 5 inset days plus two weeks over the summer or at other holiday periods to assist in a deep clean of the school. These are contracted hours of work.
