Under general supervision, performs a variety of food service, ticket sales and janitorial/custodial duties related to theater operations. Prepares and serves simple foods and beverages, operates a cash register and maintains interior/exterior cleanliness of the theater. This position requires associate to be friendly and passionately focused on delivering a personalized customer experience. May perform one or a combination of duties indicated below.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school or equivalent. Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9 months for 9 months basis.

Major Duties
Food service duties: prepares and serves simple foods and beverages to theater patrons. Operates small ovens, drink dispensers, popcorn machines and other kitchen equipment in a situation where set procedures are followed and complex cooking skills are not required. Cleans/sanitizes food preparation and serving equipment as required. Stocks appropriate food supplies prior to selling period and replenishes food and beverage items.
Ticket/admission duties: sells admission tickets by listening to needs, offering suggestions and thanking customers for their business. Collects guest cards from authorized patrons, enforces age limits, guardian provisions and denies entry of unauthorized patrons. Changes advertising displays.
Custodial/janitorial duties: performs a variety of janitorial/custodial duties which are related to the interior/exterior cleanliness of the theater. Uses hand or light weight, powered cleaning equipment. Maintains, washes, cleans, and disinfects restrooms in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Cleans lobby and auditorium to include seats; sweeps floors/hallways, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor surfaces as required, washes walls and windows, empties ash trays, waste baskets, etc.
Maintains stock of supplies and advises supervisor of materials needed. May do light outdoor work related to the theater cleanliness, such as picking up litter and sweeping steps/sidewalks. Replaces light bulbs and cleans light globes, fixtures, etc. Reports hazardous conditions, such as broken seats, worn carpeting/floor covering to theater supervisor.
Operates cash register, rings up sales, collects money, makes change and completes required reports/documentation.
Complies with and follows appropriate policies, regulations and procedures.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Challenges
Operational Hours of the facility: Primary days Friday thru Sunday, with an occasional Special showing on random selected days.
