Job Information

Position Summary: The Material Planner is responsible for the availability of sourced production parts through the entire value chain from suppliers to production in the most cost effective way for the company overall and the updating of corresponding product structures.

Role & Responsibility

Sourcing/Material Planning:

• Responsible for material flow to production through regular contact with suppliers.
• Responsibility for minimal working capital (high inventory turnover rate) with minimal risk of running out of components for production.
• Planning should be based on order-driven production with a high flexibility to the production volume and types of machines to be produced.
• Participate in the non-conformance work to prevent deviations of required quality from suppliers.
• Follow-up in partnership with quality department and other members of the organization as needed.
• Responsibility for sending out new drawings and revised drawings and send RFQ to potential suppliers with a background in design notes. Follow-up of deliveries of new incoming parts.

ERP System:

• Maintenance of the ERP system
• Ensure that the basic data within its own responsibilities have been updated at all times on the ERP-system as well as basic data for visible control
• Assist the Sourcing Manager develop alternative methods of sourcing.
• Assist the Logistics Manager in developing material flow

Supplier Monitoring:

• Responsibility for monitoring of suppliers based on certain criteria:
• Analysis of the lead times from our suppliers (material access to the vendor, through the production lead time, other).
• Measurement and monitoring of the delivery accuracy from vendor.
• Measuring and monitoring the delivery times from suppliers.
• Participate in the work of measuring and monitoring the quality of supplied components, in partnership with quality staff.
• Assist the Sourcing Manager with:
• Negotiations with suppliers.
• Analysis of capacity and flexibility from our suppliers.

Job Requirement

• Education & Qualification: Engineering - Technical / Allow Equivalent
• Experience: 5>7 years
• Travel Standard:
• Preferable with experience from logistics or similar and good technical understanding
• Global Breadth: Single-Site (One Location)
• Technical understanding
