Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Team Assistant - Sales EMEA (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the to VP Carrier Sales and Sales Carrier Team COC EMEA in an efficient, proactive, and quality manner.
- Coordinate meetings and maintain dynamic calendar, while preserving full and proactive organization of the sales leader`s time.
- Preparation and co-ordination of internal meetings – virtual EMEA wide and in person in the Berlin location.
- Execute complex, high volume domestic and international travel arrangements including scheduling air transportation and on-the-ground transfers, setting itineraries, developing and/or creating agendas, reserving hotel and conference rooms, communicating and coordinating with various points of contact.
- Assist in acquiring travel documents (visas, passports, invitation letters).
- Prepare and submit expense reports for the VPs.
- Prepare business presentations, graphs, reports.
- Assist with special projects or needs as requested or assigned.
- Coordinate logistics of division events and activities as needed.
- Maintain and order office supplies.
Experience:
- Desirable 5 years or more of demonstrated success providing team assistance or administrative support in a global company.
- Experience in working with all levels of management within an organization.
Requirements:
- University degree or a finished commercial training.
- Native German speaker and English fluent (verbal and written). Additional languages welcome.
- Proficient working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and overall strong computer skills.
- Be proactive, take the lead, anticipate, and influence the outcome.
- Maintain composure and quality work during variations of work schedule, priorities and under tight deadlines.
- Work effectively as an individual performer and a team player.
- Detail oriented and conscientious.
