Internship within the Field Experimentation of 5G Network Scanners (d/f/m)

• Start: As soon as possible

• Duration: 6 months

Objectives:

The main objective of the internship is therefore to operate experimental equipment able to scan 5G networks, which could potentially be used for positioning. The operations should be automatized to the largest extent and results should be post-processed and assessed during and after each field campaign.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Task 1: Review of existing experimental setups and review of the literature and current 5G network infrastructure.

• Task 2: Design and implementation of the automation process and testing in the laboratory.

• Task 3: Preparation and early field tests with data collection and consolidation of post-processing tools.

• Task 4: Conduction of several field campaigns around Airbus premises and post- processing of data collection, generating a database of results and knowledge on 5G Network scanning.

• Task 5: Derivation of conclusions of the internship and finalization of the final report with the outcomes of the activity.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full-time student in the area of Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent field of study.

• You have a good capability to develop software in an orderly manner.

• Knowledge in programming languages for automation of processes.

• Languages: English is mandatory; other EU languages are an asset.

• You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
