About the team and the Role:
eBay is hiring a team of luxury handbag authenticators based in the greater Berlin area. The right candidates will have experience detecting counterfeits and know the indicators to confirm an item’s authenticity. Every strong team needs a strong leader. The team manager will grow this workflow with support from your cross-functional partners to an extraordinary operation. This will be a 12-14 month fixed term temporary contract.

What You Will Accomplish:

• Evaluate preloved and new products from major fashion brands to ensure their authenticity

• Report counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings

• Stay well-versed on current brand trends & developments

• Be comfortable in a fast-paced facility environment

• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment Act as a people manager responsible for mentoring, skill development, metrics, & reviews.

• On-site leader tracking timekeeping, scheduling and integrity.

• Proactively communicate and report statistics to cross-functional partners including obstacles

• Achieve quality metrics and efficiency goals monthly, quarterly, and annually

• Produce and communicate regular update reports to the HQ team including metrics, as well as qualitative takeaways and findings

• Optimize and improve process

• Identify and rollout improvements

• Partner with Recruiting and HR to retain and hire talent

What You Will Bring:

• Prior handbag authentication or luxury sales experience

• Experience as a people and process manager

• Analytical and problem-solving skills ability to research and address concerns

• Flexibility to evolving work-flows and responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Ability to work autonomously

• Capacity to work on your feet for several hours & lift 15kg as needed.

• Knowledge of standard operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.
