As Test Engineer you will execute QA tasks for projects with our Automotive customers using automated tests in a mocked environment as well as tests on the embedded target platform.
As a member of an agile working team you support the developers with setup and maintain of the test environment and execute software integration and feature tests on target and reproduce issues and to verifiy fixes.
You develop and monitor automated tests and do first analysis of the root cause of failing tests. It is your mission to improve and develop methods of testing and test data management for automated and interactive tests and regularly report QA KPIs to the management.
Responsibilites:
- Take over responsibility for product quality as QA as member of the QA team
- Setup and maintain the project’s test environment for manual tests on target as well as automated test environment
- Update embedded software on target
- Create test specifications from requirement documentation
- Develop automation test scripts in Python
- Analyze test results along with failure analysis for automated tests and tests on embedded target or in car
- Support the project team with complex bug analysis and ticket verification
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge about QA/QM relevant fields such as software development process and functional and non-functional testing
- Programming experience, ideally with Python
- Software development project experience ideally in agile project (Scrum, Jira, Jenkins) as QA or developer
- Oral and written communication skills in German and English due to German being major test language for local customer
- Experience with code management tools e.g. Git, Perforce and as well with bug tracking tools as Jira
- Experience with (embedded) Linux
- Thorough, transparent and structured way of working
- Reliability and outstanding teamwork and cooperation skills
