As the Operational Excellence - Lean Manager (m/w/d), you will play a significant role in shaping and implementing lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes. Our Team
Our Bochum site is a production site and an active partner in the automotive industry. You will be reporting directly to our site manager and become part of an organization for which transformation and innovation is key.
What You Will Do
- Lead Plant Operational Excellence, focusing on lean processes and initiatives for People, Operations, and Customer support.
- Oversee and enhance performance in continuous improvement, efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Manage project pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and lead key projects for long-term business growth while keeping management informed with regular updates and feedback.
- Establish and uphold local standards aligned with global standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive organization-wide continuous improvement, implementing standard processes and value stream concepts.
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term Transformation Projects and act as a Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) expert.
- Develop production rates and KPIs, ensuring adherence to standards through efficiency studies.
- Optimize production systems for peak performance and conduct periodic cost audits.
- Complete payback analysis for capital equipment requests and optimize plant layouts for improved efficiency.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Degree in engineering field, e.g Industrial Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Operations Management or related field
- Proven experience in Operational Excellence/ Lean Management in a manufacturing company
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes; Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.)
- Strategic thinker with ability to deliver results and empower others
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
