Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Unified Communications Administrator (m/f/d)
- Manage and administer Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, MS Teams and other enterprise unified communications and voice solutions, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Support and manage Crestron and other audio-video conferencing solutions, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage mobile devices (cell phones and tablets) including but not limited to new orders, replace equipment, troubleshoot issues, and adding users.
- Assist with vendor management for mobile devices while acting as a liaison between the business and mobile carriers and vendors.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving voice and video conferencing-related issues and support internal customer requests as assigned by the Service Desk team.
- Monitor and maintain the overall health and performance of Unified Communication (UC) voice enterprise systems, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate voice and video solutions with other IT systems and maximize the functionality and user experience.
- Provide input to long-range planning and the design and implementation of voice and video conferencing solutions, including system upgrades and migrations.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Educate business users on collaboration tools, polices, and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in unified communications, voice, and video conferencing technologies. - Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, and/or Teams voice solutions.
- Strong technical knowledge of unified communications, voice, and video conferencing technologies.
- Experience with Crestron video conferencing solutions.
- Knowledge of network protocols, such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS), are a plus.
