(Senior) Risk Analyst (m/f/d)

Your tasks:
- Analyse market risk exposures, synergies, diversification and concentration risks to ensure that risks are understood and acted upon
- Develop appropriate models and curves to value and assess the portfolio
- Support commercial teams with scenario analysis and simulations on trading strategies and by providing comprehensive quantitative and qualitative descriptions of risk/return potentials.
- Think commercially about the development and implementation of new products and steer approvals for long term deals.
- Contribute towards a holistic risk management approach by connecting the dots on the portfolio economic actions to other important group wide considerations (e.g. strategy, regulation, credit, financing, budgeting etc.)
- Understand front to end processes and work effectively across all levels of the organization to challenge, promote dialogue and drive cooperation
- Act as a central point of contact for market risk related tasks for the portfolios you are responsible for.
Your skills:
- Good understanding of European and International (Oil) commodity and energy markets
- A degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering or a similar field
- Experience in the area of Market Risk Management and/or Trading required
- Strong command of financial modeling, mathematics and numerical techniques
- Knowledge on programming in Python, SQL and Power BI, excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills combined with the resilience to work in the fast-paced environment of global trading and wholesale
- Willing to take responsibility and grow a career in risk management and trading
- Very good knowledge of English required (spoken and written). German is a plus.
